The opening of the Children’s Playgrounds from Burdujeni and Iţcani had a great success among the inhabitants of these two districts, who came in great number to take part in the events and shows whose stars were their children themselves, but also to meet Santa Claus.
Like last year, the inhabitants from Burdujeni gathered in the Children’s Playground from the little park near the St. Andrew church.
Santa did not deceive them as he came loaded with over 2.000 presents, which were offered by mayor Ion Lungu, vice mayor Angela Zarojanu, Santa Claus and the rest of the volunteers from the “Ana Foundation and the Juventus Association.
Because the number of the people present at this event was bigger than last year, the 2.000 presents offered proved to be insufficient, and that is why mayor Ion Lungu promised that there will be more presents next year. The show, which began at 4 p.m., lasted until after dawn, hundreds of children getting up on stage in order to sing Christmas carols and recite poems to the delight of the audience
In Iţcani, the Children’s Playgrounds opened yesterday morning at 10 a.m. in the park in front of the train station, where, hundreds of children, parents and grandparents gathered to see Santa Claus, who managed to bring smiles on everyone’s faces, offering almost 500 presents. The children were very glad that they finally got the chance to meet Santa, to tell him poems, to sing Christmas carols and to take pictures with him. Through their good conduct, the children proved that they deserved the presents they received.
