Stiri

Nine theatre troupes formed of pupils and students from Suceava, Fălticeni and Bacău took part this weekend in the Youth Theatre Festival, an event organized by Shopping City Suceava, the “Ana” Foundation and the “Juventus” Association. The festival lasted for two days at the City Gallery from Shopping City, and yesterday the best troupes and the interpreters at the “monologue” section were awarded by the organizers and sponsors.

At the troupes interpretation section, a few pupils from the Economic College „Dimitrie Cantemir”, ”actors” in the troupe ECOART, proved true scenic and actor qualities, and their performance was awarded by the jury with the 1st prize.
The 2nd prize went to the troupe called FRAMS, formed of high school pupils from the “Mihai Eminescu” National College. The 3rd place went to the troupe IN THE SPOT from Bacău.
Other two theatre troupes from Suceava were awarded with mentions within the festival. The troupes are: KARISMA from the “Ciprian Porumbescu” Art National College and UNU PLUS “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Technical College.
Beside the prizes for troupes, the jury also awarded the most talented youngsters who took part in the festival at the “Monologue” Section.
At this section, too, the 1st place remained in Suceava, the jury declaring Florin Foca from the “Mihai Eminescu” National College the winner. George Serediuc, student at the “Ştefan cel Mare” University from Suceava, got the 2nd place, and Alexandru Coţofrec, pupil at the Sports High School, got the 3rd place.

The jury offered two special prizes at this section, and Alexandru Laza, from the “Ciprian Porumbescu” Art College, was nominated the best male performance, while Adina Paşcu from the “Dimitrie Cantemir” National College was nominated the best female performance.
Shopping City Suceava offered prizes valuing 2.000 lei.
The jury of the festival was formed of actors, pupils and students from various theatre troupes and winners of former festival editions, as well as representatives of the local mass-media.
Among the members of the jury we can also mention: Gabriela Ioniţă, a young actress from Suceava who collaborates with theatres like Nottara, Gestual Art and Memo, the actress Rodica Dominte, the baritone Andras Chiriliuc, Br’nduşa Dăscălescu, one of the initiators of the “Bucovina” Theatric Company, Cornel Grosar, the president of the “Juventus” Association and Nelu Todireanu, the president of the “Ana” Foundation.
The actress Gabriela Ioniţă was very impressed by the talent of the pupils and students who took part in the festival. “They came very well prepared, studied a lot and surprised me with their interpretation, costumes, make up and set”, stated Gabriela Ioniţă. The actress declared that she is also impressed by the large number of young people who took part in the festival. “In a town in which theatre is not promoted, nine troupes, very well prepared, participated at the festival, and to some of the youngsters that I have seen I would truly like to say that I wish them to become great actors”, added Gabriela Ioniţă.
