Europeâs Day, celebrated at Suceava with music, dance and fireworks


From folk shows, combined with the ones of the ethnies living in the same county, to live performances of slow music, Blondy concert and contests between the DJs, the people of Suceava will have a great time and enjoy themselves a lot.
Europeâs Day, celebrated on the 9th of May, will be celebrated at Suceava through many music and dance shows, through slow music concerts, contests, which will last for the entire day, all these events climaxing with extraordinary fireworks.
The mayor of Suceava, Ion Lungu, said that the events prepared for Europeâs Day were organized in collaboration with the âAnaâ Foundation, the Juventus Association, the Bucovina Interethnic Club, the Studentsâ Association and the Youth Centre Suceava, with the purpose to identify the city as a host of multiethnic and intercultural events.
The events organized for the 9th of May will start at 12 p.m, with an extraordinary meeting at the Local Council, during which the members, mayors and vicemayors of the Childrenâs and Youthâs Local Council will be put in their positions.
At 1 p.m. there will take place an amazing folk concert, held by children and young people from the âBalada Bucovineiâ Esemble, led by choir master George Srbu, followed by a multicultural traditional show of the minorities living in Suceava, performance held by the Slonczanka Esemble (the Union of the Polish from Romania), the Kolomeika Esemble (the Union of the Ukrainians from Romania) and the Venocic Esemble (the Russian Community), between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
At 4 p.m, the Bucovina Bandâ of the City Hall from Suceava- will present an instrumental concert, followed by a music coregraphic performance âProud land with sweet languageâ, interpreted by the members of the Ciprian Porumbescu Esemble.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the people of Suceava will watch and listen to some slow music recitals, held by Rafael (the Union of the Italians) and the band âAtac de cordâ from Cernăuţi.
At 8 p.m, in the centre of the town, there will also take place an amazing concert of the Blondy band, followed by fireworks.
From 10 p.m, the youth from Suceava will have many surprises, during the European Youth Night, held at the Arena Club. There, the youth will be able to take part in prize contests on European themes and they will listen to recitals of the best DJs from Suceava, as well as to other special guests, such as Double C, Mc-Atta and DJ Fred Acler from Sweden.
