The pupils from Suceava fight for Europe

The team contest addresses the youngsters from highschools and the prizes are very attractive. During the middle of the week (on Wednesday afternoon), the project of the European Commission Deputation in Romania, called: “Europe in highschool” was officially opened. At its third edition, the event enjoys every year a greater attraction, especially that the prizes offered are substantial. The event was organized by the “Ana” Foundation, the only county consultant of the project, in collaboration with the County Education Department Suceava. The organizers started the unfolding of the project at the “Petru Rareşâ€ National College from Suceava. The project is mainly based on a partnership with youth organizations from all over the country, which will unfold training sessions in highschools.

According to the organizers, in the previous editions, over 700 training sessions were organized all over the country, over 16.000 pupils taking part in the event. “This project’s objective is to expose as many youngsters as possible to European information, through a competition which will stimulate teamwork and reward their creativity”, declared Nelu Todireanu, the president of the “Ana” Foundation. This year, the theme of the contest is “Europe. Made in Romania”. So, the pupils are invited to a visual communication exercise through which they have to express the Europe they see around them. For better results, the pupils will also benefit from training sessions or they can enter the contest and get information from the sites: and The most interesting projects will be awarded in May in Bucharest, the first prize being an I-pod for each member of the winning team.
